A scenic circular route, crossing the properties of Marquise Pallavicino, was designed by architect Cremona in 1825 according to the romantic style of the time with artificial caves, bridges and nymphaeum in ruins, but still visible, one of them just right at the beginning of the path.
Owner of the entire land since 1931, Marquise Matilda Negrotto Cambiaso (the Castle and the Park still have her name today) used to relax crossing this itinerary on her horse-drawn carriage.
To retrace the steps of the Marquises of Arenzano, you can try your hand at this easy circular route.
From Arenzano motorway exit, turn left towards the railway station. Then follow towards the Santuario Gesù Bambino di Praga.
Start from a small fenced play area, next to the square of Santuario Gesù Bambino di Praga.
Follow the asphalt road, which passes next to an ancient Saracen Tower, (via Costa dei Frati) uphill; at the third bend (on the left) take the path called "Sentiero degli Inglesi”.
The path climbs rapidly for about a kilometer and a half, at the second crossroads on the right follow a path that proceeds flat towards the locality of "Sexia" where it crosses the path that descends from the “Curlo”, continuing to arrive on the paved road that returns to the Santuario Gesù Bambino di Praga.
