Le donne baciano meglio - Teatro Il Sipario Strappato
By and with Barbara Moselli
Direction Marco Taddei
A coming out is the triggering event of the narration of Women kiss better, a totally autobiographical text that, with simplicity, irony and without shame, tells the epiphany of the author-actress. After years of an admittedly straight life, Barbara has to face her true nature. Hence a journey in the company of different characters, which will lead her to total self-acceptance.
The comic monologue starts from a double need of the author: on the one hand the need to tell about herself, on the other that of addressing the issue of female homosexuality, which has always been little discussed.
Irreverent and extravagant, the show touches on the themes of falling in love and personal metamorphosis, using the stage as a large outdoor dressing room. We witness the inner evolution of the protagonist, like the great American performers who, with self-irony, know how to tell about themselves at the counter of a bar, transmitting the passion that is full of life, when you choose to live it.
