Santuario di Gesù Bambino di Praga

The Sanctuary of Infant Jesus of Prague is one of the most beautiful shrines in Liguria: a precious artistic site, as well as religious and spiritual one.

You can reach the Sanctuary by climbing a wide staircase dominated by the column with the statue of the Infant Jesus. The colours of the marbles ranging from creamy white to Maremma red, the stained-glass windows, the precious frescoes and the majolica sculptures by Angelo Biancini, covering the internal walls, create a unique setting of great artistic value. The toast of the Sanctuary is the Permanent Artistic Crib, the most famous ceramic crib in Liguria, masterfully made during 1969-1970, by the master ceramist Eliseo Salino, from Albissola.

The Sanctuary has a beautiful botanical garden, and a very rich garden centre with African and South American species.
