Villa Maddalena

The Villa is nowadays seat of social, cultural and sports associations. Inside the Villa there is one of the most beautiful chapel in Arenzano: with a single aisle, two side altars and a sacristy. The major altar features a valuable icon of St. Mary Magdalene, the interior is decorated with precious stucco. In the chapel there is the family vault of the Marquise “Ghiglini - De Mari". The garden is accessible only in marked areas. Built by the Somaschi Fathers in 1690, later belonged to the Marchesa “De Mari”, born “Ghiglini”, and then to the “Montereggio” family, it was purchased by the Municipal Administration of Arenzano in 1954, which applied it as Commercial Training School.
