International walk "Mare e Monti"

A non-competitive walk

Every year on 2nd week-end of September

If you want to live the thrill of walking between sky, sea and mountains, the appointment is in Arenzano, the second weekend of September for “Mare e Monti”, an international no competitive walk.

Every year thousands of people come from all over the world to walk along the paths that lead from the coast to the Ligurian Mountain Ridgeway surrounded by amazing landscapes of the sea and the Alps, where the distance between Apennines and sea coast is minimal.

During these days, the town livens up thanks to other additional initiatives to the event, with music, shows, stalls and speciality dishes which aim to promote friendship between the participants coming from many difference places, with the slogan “May walking bring us together!”.

Routes

There are three different mountain tracks of various lengths to satisfy all needs (10km – 15km – 20km); otherwise, for those who don’t love walking uphill, there is a valid alternative in the routes of “Riviera del Beigua” which, from the village and along “Fabrizio De Andrè” promenade, skirt the sea among cliffs and the Mediterranean shrubland and finish in the centres of Cogoleto and Varazze.
