Arenzano belongs to the net of Beigua Park – UNESCO Global Geopark. The mountains behind Arenzano, Rama, Argentea, Reixa, and Sciguello, form the heart of Beigua massif, the widest protected area in Liguria. Mount Beigua is a spectacular summit overlooking the sea, with its woods of beeches, oaks and chestnut trees, pine forests and flaps of Mediterranean scrub, it’ s one of the richest biodiversity areas in Liguria.

A real paradise for trekkers with its great track network (developing for about 500 km), at different levels of difficulty, that offer an incredible landscape of a large portion of Liguria shore arc where, during clearest days, you can even see Corsica. The shelters and refuge of Argentea, Ai Belli Venti, Scarpeggin, Sambugo and Cà da Gava, allow a convenient break on the Via Alpina and, sometimes, an overnight stay.
